  • Welcome to my blog!

Hi! I'm Traci. I'm a Registered Nurse who loves quilting, knitting, cross stitch, and the great outdoors. In my pre-scrubs life, I owned Real Photography, and you can still see my old wedding and portrait photography site here .

I've created a map that shows links to our camping/hiking/general family fun review posts that you can find here. It's pretty much the coolest thing on this site. Thanks, Google!

I great big puffy heart *love* comments, so please let me know you visited! I try to always reply!

welcoming fall

Last year I spent $9 at Safeway on baby pumpkins and pinecones, put them on our mantle, and was shocked at how nice and festive $9 can make a place feel.  I’m not the best decorator, but I was having a hard time last month letting go of summer and mentally preparing for winter, so I decided that embracing autumn was a better way to go forward.  This year, that meant bringing out my favorite autumn scented oils for my oil burner (my favorite combo prior to Halloween is caramel + apple, after Halloween I switch to pumpkin + caramel).  I also got some crocheted dish cloths in autumn colors to help make the kitchen festive.

Mom - So pretty!
