(Tip: I was a little nervous about doing such difficult piecing with linen, so I starched it until it resembled a french fry…  Chugging away at my partner’s pillow for Pillow Talk Swap 6! I’m using the Little Lone Star Quilts book paper piecing templates, a book I found at our local library!  If you follow my pinterest boards, you’ll know that I’ve been a tad bit dollhouse obsessed lately. This dollhouse pillow, in particular, immediately caught my eye. I knew I wanted to make one! Since Children at Play didn’t arrive in time to the be the star of Ellie’s quiet book, I figured I would instead…  I wish you could have seen me walking to the mailbox. I thought I knew what was coming my way, but when I saw a big box resting against my mailbox I knew I was wrong. I was running through all the amazing things I’d seen in the flickr group and settled on thinking “MAYBE…  It’s appropriate that it is Oscar time, because I’m about to say ‘it really IS an honor just to be nominated!’ I have fell behind on my google reader feed this weekend and so I didn’t know that my eiffel tower pillow had made it into Rachel’s top nine February pillows until now! It didn’t… |
